For My Homegirls was born out of a need for representation. We are a Latina-owned brand that believes every mujer deserves to walk with self-love, to take care of herself, and to move with unapologetic confidence. FMH is here to remind you to show up for yourself con ganas as you create your dreams, inspired by the wild places that awaken our magic.

We treasure our homegirls, we are proud of our roots, and we celebrate the power of mujeres uplifting one another. We embrace our healing, because growth, wellness, and alegría are all part of our journey.

2017 - First day on the trail, where the dream of For My Homegirls began. 

How We Started

When you hear For My Homegirls, you probably don’t picture hiking boots and a backpack, but that is where my story started. In 2018, while planning my very first backpacking trip, I was searching for something to wear that reflected who I am and how I show up in the world. I wasn’t looking for just another hiking slogan. I wanted something that spoke to my identity and my voice, but I couldn’t find it anywhere.

That experience sparked the idea for a brand I never knew I needed to create. I came home with pages of sketches, really more like messy scribbles, but they carried the heart and vision that would bring For My Homegirls to life.

The name came naturally. I thought, Who am I creating for? For My Homegirls. I said it out loud, loved it, and knew right away it was the one.

The challenge was figuring out how to start. I knew nothing about running a business, how to get shirts made, or even how to use design programs. With no startup money, I launched sticker packs on Instagram to fund my first screen-printed shirts. My community showed up for me in a big way. That summer, I introduced my designs at LatinaFest 2018. I held my creations for the very first time on the morning of the event. It was wild, it was terrifying, and it was exhilarating, but it was meant to be.

Since then, For My Homegirls has grown into a brand that reminds mujeres to show up for themselves con ganas as they create their dreams, inspired by the wild places that awaken our magic. Our designs reflect the pride of our roots, the love for our homegirls, and the belief that self-love and unapologetic confidence belong to every mujer. We embrace the joy and healing in our journeys, and we want every mujer to know she is never alone, that she is worthy of her dreams, her voice matters, and everything she needs is already within her.
